How to be a better ally in the workplace

Every workplace strives to be a safe and enjoyable location for their employees, but sometimes issues arise due to lack of awareness. This lack of awareness leads to microaggressions, or the subtle, nagging slights against someone that target race, gender, sexuality, or other things out of one’s control, and are prevalent in the workplace. These microaggressions build up like a thousand paper cuts to impede your ability to work and contribute to an unsafe workplace. How can we as employers understand how to increase awareness and eliminate these unfair, subtle, nagging biases in the workplace? How can we work towards being a better ally?
