What Is Cross-Cultural Communications?
Culture isn’t just nationality. Culture is a set of norms and values that is held by a group of people. Culture is a way in which to see the world.
Therefore, every day you communicate with people from a vastly different culture than you. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn’t. Much of our work these days includes interacting with people from different cultures on the local and global scale. How then, can we address every culture, every way of seeing the world, every value in a respectful, professional, and successful way?

Who are We?
Grace Sullivan Buker, PhD is the founding consultant of Cadence Advising. Having worked as a consultant and professor in the United States and abroad, Grace has seen how interactions can improve when we simply just step back, assess where we’re coming from, and approach a conversation with respect, open-mindedness, and introspection.
